How are the teachers in school helped to work with children with SEN and what training do they have?

The school has a training plan for all staff to improve the teaching and learning of children including those with SEN. This could include whole school training on SEN issues such as ASD, dyslexia etc. Staff to share their knowledge, strategies and experience, through inset days to ensure consistency of the school’s approach for children with an SEND. Individual teachers and support staff attend training courses run by outside agencies that are relevant to the needs of specific children in their class, for example, from the ASD Outreach service and the Sensory service.
